The Person Behind Viera Investment Group LLC

Meet Ray Viera

I grew up in Paterson, New Jersey, and have been involved in real estate for more than three decades, beginning my real estate journey at the age of 19. Over the years, real estate has remained a constant part of my life, both personally and professionally.

While serving in the United States Navy, I continued pursuing real estate and expanding my understanding of property ownership, investment, and long-term wealth building. Military service also gave me the opportunity to live in California, Washington State, Illinois, and Florida, while traveling extensively throughout the world. Those experiences exposed me to different communities, housing markets, and perspectives that continue to influence how I approach real estate today.

After my military service, I spent 25 years serving New Jersey communities as a Passaic County Sheriff's Officer, retiring with the rank of Corporal. Throughout my law enforcement career, I worked in situations where integrity, accountability, communication, and sound decision-making were critical. Those same principles continue to guide my work with property owners and families today.

As I continued working in real estate, I noticed a recurring problem. Families dealing with inherited properties, probate, foreclosure, tax delinquency, reverse mortgages, title issues, and multi-heir situations were often forced to make major decisions with limited information and very little guidance. Many people were at risk of losing significant equity—not because they made poor decisions, but because they didn't fully understand the process, deadlines, or options available to them.

I founded Viera Investment Group LLC to help bridge that gap. My goal is to combine over 30 years of real estate experience with the discipline, service, and problem-solving skills developed through military service and a 25-year law enforcement career.

Over the years, I have also built a strong network of professionals throughout the real estate industry. Through decades of experience, I've developed relationships with attorneys, title companies, real estate agents, investors, contractors, lenders, and other specialists who help solve complex property challenges.

Many of the situations families face involve more than simply selling a property. Probate matters, title defects, heir disputes, foreclosure timelines, reverse mortgage issues, tax delinquencies, and other complications often require the involvement of multiple professionals working together. Having access to experienced and trusted resources allows me to help connect families with the right people and solutions when additional expertise is needed.

One of the greatest strengths I bring to the table is not just my own experience, but the network of professionals and partnerships I've built over the years to help navigate complicated real estate situations efficiently and responsibly.

Today, I focus primarily on helping New Jersey families understand their options, protect their equity, and navigate complex property situations with confidence. While New Jersey is my primary market, I have also worked with property owners, investors, attorneys, title companies, and families in Florida, Texas, New York, Ohio, and other markets through professional relationships and industry connections.

Whether you're dealing with probate, an inherited home, foreclosure, tax delinquency, a reverse mortgage, title challenges, or a multi-heir property situation, my goal is simple: provide straightforward guidance, explain the process in plain English, and help you make informed decisions.

If you're facing a difficult property situation and aren't sure where to start, I'm here to help you understand your options and the next steps available to you.

How We Work

Our Approach

Every family's situation is different. We move at your pace, focus on understanding before advising, and work alongside the professionals your situation requires.

01

Listen First

We begin by listening. Before discussing any options, we take the time to understand what you and your family are facing and what matters most to you.

02

Understand the Situation

We review the full picture — the property, the people involved, and the circumstances — so guidance is based on facts rather than assumptions.

03

Identify Obstacles

Probate steps, deadlines, liens, title defects, and heir considerations are identified early, so nothing important is overlooked.

04

Explain Options

We explain the available paths in plain English — what each one involves, what to expect, and the trade-offs — so you can make an informed decision.

05

Work With the Right People

When a situation calls for it, we coordinate with heirs, families, attorneys, title companies, and other decision-makers to keep everyone aligned.

06

Create a Path Forward

Together, we help establish clear next steps and a practical path toward resolving the situation responsibly.
